For nearly three decades, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the largest of the Big Four accounting firms and one of the world’s largest professional services organizations, has been a dynamic corporate partner and faithful friend, providing generous financial support and leadership to programs throughout Bryant University.

PwC’s Accounting Careers Leadership Institute is a weeklong summer program at Bryant that introduces Latino/a and African American rising high school seniors from around the country to the accounting profession and to the role they will have as corporate citizens.

Bryant faculty found a strong ally in PwC for the initiative to increase diversity within the accounting profession and at the University. The firm has invested more than $500,000 in this immersion program, including a recent $150,000 grant, extending the summer institute for an additional three years. A group of PwC partners, along with several employees who are Bryant alumni, serve as program mentors and have created the PricewaterhouseCoopers Endowed Scholarship Fund, which assists students who take part in the summer institute to attend Bryant.

During its first five years, nearly 200 students have participated in the program and more than half have gone on to apply for admission to Bryant. This fall, some students who took part in the summer institute’s first year began their accounting careers at PwC.

PwC is also an active benefactor of Bryant’s Intercultural Center and our 4MILE@bryant program for multicultural and international students which provides a network of mentors and advisers and activities to ensure their success at Bryant.

The Women’s Summit, World Trade Day, and the Honors Program are among the many other programs that flourish with PwC’s generous support.

Beyond their considerable financial participation in the life of Bryant, PwC partners have generously contributed their time and expertise to enhance the vibrant educational experience of Bryant students. They have extended their leadership skills and volunteered on many fronts, including guest lecturing, and serving on the Accounting Advisory Board and Bryant’s Board of Trustees.

PwC recruits talented Bryant students through the University’s Amica Center for Career Education, hiring nearly 200 graduates for full-time positions in just the last five years. In addition, more than 150 students have been accepted into PwC’s much sought-after internship program.

Bryant University deeply appreciates the many contributions of PwC, its partners, and its employees in many areas, including educational and programming excellence, student involvement, leadership, and philanthropic support. We are proud to call PwC a Friend of the University and honored to proclaim the firm a Champion for Philanthropy.
