Kyle Ebersold '14: Leaving Bryant on a high note
When Kyle Ebersold ’14 (Holland, MA) first walked onto the Bryant campus as a freshman, he wondered how he would fit into the community.
“I am someone who loves music above all other passions,” he says. “But when I arrived at Bryant, I was still very unsure of how I could potentially merge that passion with my intensive interests in business and technology.”
But Ebersold, a Business Administration major, found a niche at Bryant and involved himself in activities that integrated his interests.
At Bryant, Ebersold was:
- The Bottom Line a cappella group’s business manager
- Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society student vice president
- An Honors Program student
- Omicron Delta Kappa International Honor Society member
"Music, business, and technology all came together in a way that greatly excited me and propelled me in everything I have done here."
One of Ebersold’s proudest moments at Bryant was as the inaugural chair of the Bryant Spring Music Showcase. The business skills he learned in the classroom combined with his musically-oriented high school experience allowed him to stage a performance featuring the musical talents of Bryant students.
“I could not have been more excited, joyful, and proud that our planning committee managed to put it together and pull it off with such an overwhelmingly positive response,” he says. “President and Mrs. Machtley congratulated me after the show on the achievement of a worthy vision pertaining to performing arts at Bryant.”
Ebersold says he is thrilled that Bryant offered him a chance to blend all of his interests.
“Music, business, and technology all came together in a way that greatly excited me and propelled me in everything I have done here,” he says. “Bryant gave me the tools and knowledge to effectively fashion my own way through following my academic and extracurricular passions.”
Since graduating, Ebersold has secured a full-time position as an IT business analyst at The Hartford Financial Services Group in Hartford, CT. He hopes to obtain a Master’s degree to further complement his interests in business, technology, and music.
