Crystal Jiang

Dr. Crystal Jiang is a Professor of Management in the Management Department. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in International Business, Strategic Management and Managing Multinational Enterprises. Dr. Jiang is an Executive Board Member for the Academy of International Business Northeast Chapter and President starting October 2020.

Jiang’s research focuses on firms originated from emerging economies in capability-building, innovation strategy and cross-cultural management. Her research work has appeared in the top-ranked management and international business journals, including the Journal of Management (JOM), Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS), Journal of International Management (JIM), Journal of World Business (JWB), Asia Pacific Journal of Management (APJM), Oxford Handbook of International Business, and others.

Jiang has been an invited guest speaker at numerous international academic conferences and multinational corporations. She has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Providence Business News, AS 200 Station and National Public Radio of Rhode Island.

Jiang served as an Executive Board member of the Women in the Academy of International Management (WAIB) and is currently an active member of the Academy of Management (AOM), Academy of International Business (AIB) and Asia Academy of Management (AAOM). Jiang was past chair for Caucus Committee, Academy of Management Annual Conference. She is an Associate Editor for the New England Journal of Entrepreneurship (NEJE).

Jiang earned her Ph.D. from the Fox School of Business Temple University in International Business Management. Prior to joining Temple University, she was an investment manager for the China Qingdao Foreign Economic and Trade Committee and the Chamber of International Commerce.
