Son Nguyen

Dr. Nguyen earned his master’s degree in applied mathematics and doctoral degree in mathematics, statistics emphasis, both at Ohio University. He is currently the coordinator of the Applied Mathematics and Statistics program at Bryant University. Since 2018, Dr. Nguyen and his students have presented 19 paper/poster presentations at academic conferences and have won multiple presentations awards including the best poster presentations (4th and 5pth place at the NEDSI Conference) and 1st place undergraduate research (at the Analytics Without Border Conference). Dr. Nguyen is a recipient of the Emerald Literati Awards for the Outstanding Author Contribution (2020). Dr. Nguyen’s primary research interests lie in statistical machine learning and imbalanced classification.
