Jack Vensel

Professor Vensel is an experienced executive, leader, teacher and mentor, teaching a variety of business courses in areas including Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Leadership, Sales, Consulting, and Business Management. He has presented at international conferences in the areas of market structure, best execution, electronic and algorithmic trading, entrepreneurship, and global sales management and strategy. Professor Vensel has built, managed and sold a variety of businesses. He was Co-Founder and Non Executive Director of InvestYourWay, Ltd., one of the world’s first robo-investment offerings. InvestYourWay was sold to IG Group of London in 2015. Professor Vensel served as Managing Director - Head of Electronic Trading EMEA & Global Head of Wholesale Execution at Citigroup in London. While with Citi, Professor Vensel built and ran the electronic and algorithmic trading efforts in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa. He developed and implemented E2C (Execution to Custody), a global joint venture with Citi’s Global Transaction Services division. While on the Board of Directors of Turquoise, a multilateral trading facility, Professor Vensel served on the Audit & Risk and the Banking committees. Under his guidance Turquoise grew to one of the premier Pan-European equity and derivative alternative trading systems. He was instrumental in the sale of Turquoise to The London Stock Exchange. Prior to Citigroup, Professor Vensel served as Executive Vice President of Sales at Automated Trading Desk, LLC. He was responsible for developing and managing sell-side Sales and Marketing efforts for ATD’s operations. Professor Vensel served as Executive Vice President of Island ECN, the former electronic marketplace now known as NASDAQ's INET. As the 13th employee of the firm, Professor Vensel established Island's Sales and Marketing departments. He has held positions with Instinet, Fidelity Investments, Data Systems Computer Centre and Arthur Andersen. He is a veteran of the financial industry with over 30 years experience in the field. Professor Vensel earned an undergraduate degree at Boston College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
