Lecturer of History, Literature, and the Arts
Monica R Ward
I am a first-generation academic with a Ph.D. in American History, specializing in Native American and Early American history. I earned both my undergraduate and master’s degrees in History from Rutgers University and completed my doctorate at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2019. Before joining Bryant University, I served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of History at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina.
Outside of academia, I am an amateur equestrian and enjoy spending time around horses. I am also the faculty advisor for the student organization 'The Women's Network' on campus.
