Bryant’s 4+1 Master of Science in Actuarial Science (MSAS) Program is an innovative direct path from undergraduate study for students seeking to gain a competitive advantage in their career. Students will complete their undergraduate program in four years before enrolling in the accelerated one-year master's. The direct admission structure allows you to prepare for your professional actuarial designations sooner alongside faculty with industry experience.

What Bryant undergraduate degree programs qualify?
The Bryant Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Mathematics is the only undergraduate degree program that will be accepted for the 4+1 MSAS.
What does direct admission mean?
Bryant seniors will be reviewed for academic fit by the graduate admission committee without comparison to the larger applicant pool. Students will not be required to submit GMAT scores.
Are transfer students eligible?
Yes, transfer students are eligible provided they meet all program academic requirements. Students are encouraged to contact their academic advisor to discuss academic planning.
If I change my mind, am I able to opt out of the program?
Yes, the structure of the 4+1 program will allow students to opt-out at any time. Students who opt-out are encouraged to contact their academic advisor to discuss their options and will continue their Bryant undergraduate degree requirements.
Will opting out affect any scholarships received from Bryant?
Any Bryant academic scholarship that was awarded is renewable up to four years (eight semesters), provided that you maintain full-time (at least 12 credits) enrollment status and the cumulative grade point average on the scholarship letter you receive from the office of admission.
What support is available to students?
An academic advisor is dedicated to overseeing academic fit and eligibility for the program. On-campus housing options are available for all four undergraduate years.
