4+1 Accelerated M.S. in Actuarial Science

Continue your education and be on track to earn your associateship designation through Bryant’s Master of Science in Actuarial Science Online. Through our accelerated 4+1 program, all qualifying seniors will receive direct admission to our online, asynchronous graduate program in actuarial science. In just five years, you’ll be ready to take advanced actuarial exams and start your career with a master’s degree.

About This Program

In today’s world filled with risk, the need for strong actuaries has never been greater. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, actuarial positions are projected to grow 21 percent in the next decade. Companies depend on actuaries to assess and manage risk, forecast performance, and develop comprehensive strategies to help them succeed.

Bryant’s award-winning program will help you develop the skills and expertise for a successful career as an actuary. Expect to learn:

Students often pass the first two exams before graduation. Through Bryant’s small classes, exceptional professors, and emphasis on student success, you’ll feel confident in your exam preparation and career outlook as a certified actuary.

Bryant’s 4+1 Accelerated Master of Science in Actuarial Science program is an innovative direct path from undergraduate study to an advanced degree. Complete your undergraduate studies in four years before enrolling in the one-year master’s program. The direct admission structure allows you to prepare for your professional actuarial designations sooner and continue learning alongside credentialed faculty with industry experience.

MSAS courses are completely online and offered in a 10-week format, giving you the flexibility to study full time or begin your career while learning on a part-time basis. After completing the program, you’ll be ready to earn your associateship designation with either the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) or the Society of Actuaries (SOA).

Direct Admission Qualifications

Complete all undergraduate coursework at Bryant within four years.
Earn a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0.
Maintain good academic and disciplinary standing throughout your time at Bryant.
