Living in the residence halls is an important part of your Bryant experience. Not only are they a place to rest your head, but they’re also home to a thriving academic and social community.

Living at Bryant

Have an inside look and learn more about Barrington, Bristol, and Warren Houses, known collectively as First-Year Village.

First-Year Housing

To ease the transition into college life, we place first-year students together. This allows you to meet people with similar interests and form lasting friendships. You’ll also learn how to communicate and resolve conflict more effectively while becoming a more considerate and accountable individual.

Regardless of room type, each first-year student receives the same amenities. You can expect to have:

• 1 extra-long twin bed, 1 desk, 1 desk chair, 1 bureau, limited closet space to hang items, wireless internet connection

Each first-year residence hall has:

• Card access building entrance, laundry facility, kitchenette, study and social lounge space, community television

The majority of first-years live in traditional residence halls where two students share a double room, though some live in triples, quads or suite style halls.

First-year students are not required to live on campus. However, the proximity of rooms, interconnected corridors and shared common and bathroom spaces maximize your opportunities to meet others and form lasting friendships.

You'll receive housing and roommate-matching forms following payment of your Bryant acceptance deposit.

Please Note: No separate housing deposit is required.

Additional Housing

Sophomores and juniors typically live in the Suite Village, where suites of six students share three double bedrooms, a living room and bathroom. Suites are a fun way to live with your friends while having more space for studying and relaxing.

Seniors traditionally live in the townhouses. Townhouses are set aside from the rest of campus and come with single and double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a dining area and a fully-equipped kitchen. While meal plans are not required for townhouse residents, they're still available, just contact us to add one. Townhouses provide an exciting and independent experience that prepares you to live on your own after Bryant.

Housing Lottery

Current Bryant students are eligible to participate in the housing selection process every spring for the upcoming academic year. Information will be sent to students at the beginning of each spring semester.

Dining

Campus dining is a big part of the college experience. Our goal is to provide a variety of fresh, healthy, and made-from-scratch food options, and we offer flexible meal plans to fit your lifestyle. All plans include Meal Swipes to be used at Salmanson Dining Hall in the Unistructure or at any of our retail destinations as part of meal equivalence.

While Salmanson or “Salmo” is the most central dining location, students remain well-fed and caffeinated from early morning until late at night all over campus:

• Unistructure: The Archway Café serves Starbucks-crafted barista drinks and a variety of baked goods, Fresh-to-Go options, and a selection of sushi.
• Fisher Center: Quick service options include Dunkin' Donuts, Nick’s @ Nite, Tupper’s, The Exchange, Fresh Market (Coming in Spring 2024), and a rotating selection of food trucks on the Fisher patio.
• Bello Center: Bulldog Bytes Café features Starbucks-crafted barista drinks, Fresh to Go options, sushi, and all-day breakfast sandwiches
• Newport House: Plant City serves 100% plant-based food that is palm oil free, certified kosher, and sustainable.

Meal Plans

All meal plans come with flexible Dining Dollars, with the amount varying depending on your plan.

Dining Dollars are used like a debit card for beverages, snacks or meals at any time—even outside regular mealtimes—at eateries around campus. Dining Dollars carry over from the fall semester to the spring semester, but unused Dollars expire on the last day of finals in the spring. Additional Dollars can be purchased through the MyHousing-Self Service Portal.

Don't confuse Dining Dollars with Bulldog Bucks which can be used like cash at all retail locations and at Uno Pizzeria & Grill in Smithfield, R.I. Every meal plan includes $25 in Bulldog Bucks. Additional Bucks can be purchased on the GET App, and balances remain on a student’s account until graduation.
