Smithfield, RI and Beyond
We're located in the heart of New England, an easy drive to the picturesque sights of Newport, the thriving cultural scene of Providence and the historical abundance of Boston.
Smithfield, RI
We're in Smithfield thanks to the founder of Tupperware—Earl Silas Tupper. When we outgrew our location in downtown Providence, Tupper donated the 428 acres of land that’s been our home ever since.
With peaceful groves, gently rolling lawns, cutting-edge facilities, and a history of innovation, Bryant’s Smithfield campus has become an anchor of the surrounding community. Our athletic and cultural events and many of our symposia with visiting scholars are open to the public.
Smithfield has everything a student could need and a local RIPTA bus to get you to shops, groceries, parks, and places to hang out with your friends when you just want to get off campus for a little while.
We're just a 45-minute car ride from Newport, R.I., the city by the sea, and our capital city, Providence, is even closer – just 15 minutes away.
In Newport, take in the awe-inspiring mansions that still stand from the Gilded Age of the 1800s. Or, do a day trip to Providence, which has some of the nation's top chefs, outstanding cultural events, and stunning architecture.
Boston, the historical seat of our nation, is a 45-minute drive from campus. Cheer for (or against) the Red Sox at Fenway Park, explore the many shops and restaurants, or discover the city's patriotic roots by walking the Freedom Trail.
The sandy white dunes and vast beaches of Cape Cod beckon, just two hours away by car. Whether you're enjoying a quiet getaway on the off-season, or the colorful delights of Provincetown at the height of summer, you're sure to have a memorable experience.
Hop a train and in just three hours, you can be in New York City. Every student should experience this bustling mecca at least once, whether you're choosing an internship from literally thousands of companies or seeing Times Square in person.
