In a perfect world, the first decision you made about which undergraduate school to attend would have been your last, leading to a successful and happy four years.

But, that isn't always what happens. Maybe you’re graduating from a community college, choosing a different academic path, or seeking a college that’s a better fit for you.

We’re experienced with all these scenarios and more at Bryant, where one in every seven students is a transfer. Our energizing campus offers an exceptional education that combines theoretical and hands-on knowledge with a global perspective, innovation and creativity, and character and leadership development.

Transfer applicants may apply for admission for the fall and spring semesters. We expect you to have obtained sufficient academic preparation for the Bryant curriculum through a combination of accredited secondary school and college coursework.

All students are encouraged to apply online using the Common Application, which requires you to create a log-in and password, allowing you to save and add to your application as needed.

If you have applied to Bryant within the past academic year, you may reapply by submitting the request to reactivate application for admission [PDF] in lieu of the other options.

Application Deadlines

You can start your application using the Common Application, which requires you to create a log-in password, allowing you to save and add your application as needed before you are ready to submit it to Bryant.

Transfer Application Requirements

Transfer applicants must submit copies of the following:

High School Transcript or GED: An official, final high school transcript or GED indicating your date of graduation. Required only if you have not completed 24 or more college credits after high school graduation.
College/University Transcript: An official transcript from each college or university you have attended is required. For your current institution, the transcript must indicate all courses and course numbers not included on the transcript that you expect to complete before the proposed date of enrollment.

Applicants who have previously completed an application for transfer admission to Bryant University within the last academic year may submit our reactivation form.
Previously submitted applications need to include the following documents:

Writing Supplement
Final High School Transcript (waived if you have completed 24 or more college credits after high school graduation)
Official Transcripts from all previous colleges attended
Bryant University is test optional and does not require transfer applicants to submit standardized testing to be considered for admission.

If you submitted an application more than one academic year prior, you must follow the regular transfer admission process.

College Partnerships :

Rhode Island Guarantee

NEBHE The Rhode Island Guarantee is a transfer partnership between the Community College of Rhode Island and participating four-year colleges and universities. Eligible Community College of Rhode Island graduates are able to transfer to Bryant University seamlessly - admission is guaranteed!

Eligibility Requirements:
- Pathways exist for Business, Biology, and Communication; International Business and Data Science are not included in the RI Guarantee
- You may transfer up to 62 credits for courses in which you’ve received a grade of “C” or better, and that fit into the Bryant curriculum. Courses taken over 5 years ago and pertain to a student's major may not transfer.
- Students who complete all of the requirements of the RI Guarantee will have their $50 application fee waived.

Other Partnerships

We partner with several colleges to make the transfer experience smooth for their students. The Office of Transfer Admission will work with each student not only with admission to the University but also the transferring of credits. We’re proud to collaborate with several colleges to offer articulation agreements. That means these schools have courses that are so similar in content to certain Bryant classes, you’ll get transfer credit instead of having to retake them. Reverse transfer enables current or former Community College of Rhode Island students to apply credits they earn at Bryant University towards a degree at CCRI. Having an associate’s degree or certificate can mean better job opportunities, even while you work toward a bachelor’s degree. Students will consent to Bryant sharing their academic information (transcripts, etc.) with CCRI. The purpose of this is to keep CCRI informed of your transfer progress and make the reverse transfer a possibility.

Reverse transfer qualifications:

At least 60 college-level credits, with at least 15 from CCRI
Combined GPA of a 2.0 or higher
Resolve any financial obligations to any school
A transcript review
