Family and Friends Weekend

Join us from Friday, Oct. 12, through Sunday, Oct. 14 for a weekend filled with family-friendly fun, music, food, and entertainment!

Walk-ins are welcome on a first come first serve basis throughout the weekend of events as Pre-Registration for Family and Friends Weekend has closed.  Please visit the Fisher Student Center Friday between 4:00-8:00 p.m. or Saturday between 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. to register! 

Friday, October 12th

  • 4-8 p.m.: Family & Friends Weekend check-in. Fisher Student Center, first floor

  • 4-6 p.m.: Lawn games. Patio and lawn, Fisher Student Center

  • 5 p.m.: Bryant Hillel Shabbat service and dinner. Ronald K. and Kati C. Machtley Interfaith Center

  • 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.: Intercultural food tasting. Patio and lawn, Fisher Student Center (Rain site: Papitto, Fisher Student Center)

  • 7 p.m.: Bryant Players production of Clue. Six guests with colorful pseudonyms and even more colorful pasts arrive at the mysterious Hill House for a dinner party. When their host, Mr. Boddy, is murdered, everyone is a suspect. Working with the butler and maid, the guests must figure out who killed Mr. Boddy, where, and with what. Directed by Addison Mueller. Advance tickets: $7 adults; $3 Bryant students and children (5-12). At the door: $10 adults; $7 Bryant faculty/staff; $5 Bryant students and children (5-12). Janikies Theatre, Unistructure

  • 7 p.m.: Men’s Rugby Match. Bryant Bulldogs vs. UMass Amherst, Lower Turf

  • 8:30 p.m.: Talent showcase and dessert social. Enjoy performances presented by various student groups. Bello Center, Stepan Grand Hall. $5 adults; free for Bryant students and children (5-12)

Saturday, October 13th

  • 8 a.m.-2 p.m.: Family & Friends Weekend check-in. Fireside Lounge, Fisher Student Center

  • 8-11 a.m.: Continental breakfast. Fireside Lounge, Fisher Student Center

  • 10 a.m.: President’s List and Dean’s List reception. Hosted by the Division of Academic Affairs. (Doors open at 9:30 a.m.) MAC, Chace Wellness Center

  • 10:45 a.m.: A Performance by The Bottom Line. Bryant University’s premier student-led, co-ed a cappella group opens for the State of the University address. Janikies Theatre, Unistructure

  • 11 a.m. : State of the University address presented by President Ronald K. Machtley. Janikies Theatre, Unistructure

  • 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Family and student tailgating area. Before the kickoff, stop by the Bierne Stadium tent hosted by Student Government.

  • 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.: Family & Friends Festival Lunch. Enjoy a buffet of family-friendly foods. Cost includes a ticket to the football game. $25 adults; $15 Bryant students; $7 children (5-12). Large tent at Bierne Stadium

  • 1 p.m.:  Football. Bryant Bulldogs vs. Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils (Breast Cancer Awareness Game). Bierne Stadium

  • 2-5 p.m.: Latino/Hispanic Heritage Month Carnival. Entertainment, food and activities. Fisher Student Center Patio (rain location: Papitto, Fisher Student Center)

  • 4 p.m.: 25th Annual Duck Race. Support the Class of 2019 in one of Bryant’s longest-standing traditions by adopting a rubber duck and watching it race across the pond for a chance to win great prizes! Purchase your duck in the Fisher Student Center before the big race. 

  • 5 p.m.: Catholic Mass. Chapel, Ronald K. and Kati C. Machtley Interfaith Center

  • 7 p.m.: Bryant Players production of Clue. (See Friday event description.) 

  • 7:30 p.m. A Conversation with Brian Scalabrine. Brian Scalabrine, former Boston Celtic and basketball champion, will join the Bryant community for a moderated discussion. Attendees will hear about his time as a professional basketball player and his successful transition off the court. Don't miss out on anecdotes, lessons learned, and challenges overcome from a successful athlete, broadcaster, and sports analyst. MAC, Chace Wellness Center

Sunday, October 14th

  • 11 a.m.: Campus tour with Admissions Ambassadors. Meet at the Information Center, Fisher Student Center

  • 12 p.m.: Women’s Rugby Match. Bryant Bulldogs vs. Saint Anselm College, Lower Turf

  • 1 p.m.: Men’s soccer. Bryant Bulldogs vs. St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers. Bierne Stadium

  • 2 p.m.:  Bryant Players production of Clue(See Friday event description.) 

  • 2:50 p.m.: Men’s Ice Hockey. Bryant Bulldogs vs. Sacred Heart University, Rhode Island Sports Center

  • 6 p.m.:  Interfaith service. Reflection Sanctuary, Ronald K. and Kati C. Machtley Interfaith Center

  • 7 p.m.:  Catholic Mass. Chapel, Ronald K. and Kati C. Machtley Interfaith Center
